Coding using African Historical Symbols

Workshop Description
Participants will learn about the cultural significance of some traditional African visual arts, including Adinkra and Sona. Participants will explore connections between these classic artforms and essential mathematical concepts, including symmetry and geometry. Furthermore, participants will then construct some of these significant symbols by writing their own code using Python. Laptops will be offered for all participants.
